It is planned to implement more than a hundred investment projects in the field of agriculture in the Omsk region.

The total investment will amount to 23.8 billion rubles.

The results of the implementation of investment projects in the agro-industrial complex were discussed on July 27 at a meeting of the Council of heads of municipalities under the Governor of the Omsk Region. The meeting was held by the First Deputy Chairman of the regional Government, Valery Boyko.

The agribusiness development program approved last year included 115 projects that are expected to be implemented in 27 districts of the region. The total amount of financing will amount to 23.8 billion rubles. The main volume of investments - 15.1 billion rubles is planned in the field of animal husbandry - 68 projects. In particular, it is planned to build a dairy farm for 1,800 cows in the Maryanovsky district, modernize production at Omsk Bacon JSC in the Omsk region, build a livestock complex for 1,000 cows at Tsvetnopolye of the Azov German National District, and a dairy complex with 600 cows in the Poltava region.

The program also provides for the implementation of 16 projects in crop production with investments of 1.6 billion rubles. Major projects include the construction of a 25,000-ton vegetable and potato storage facility in the Omsk region, the reconstruction of an irrigation system on an area of 300 hectares in the Novovarshavsky district, and the restoration of an irrigation system on an area of 2,100 hectares in the Omsk region.

In the field of food production, the Program includes 31 projects with a total investment of about 7.1 billion rubles.

As it was noted, decisions were made on postponing the deadlines for their implementation for five investment projects, and some projects were suspended due to financing problems. According to Valery Boyko, everything must be done to help farmers implement key investment projects and put their plans into practice.
