On June 22, a memorable date is celebrated in the Russian Federation – the Day of Remembrance and Mourning. On this day, the peoples of Russia mourn for their compatriots who became victims of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and defended their Homeland at the cost of their lives.
On this day, the All-Russian online action "Candle of Memory" will be held throughout the country, which is organized by the MEMORY OF GENERATIONS Charitable Foundation.
The purpose of the Campaign is to preserve the historical memory of the Great Victory of our people by involving Russian citizens in commemorative events, thereby preserving the continuity of generations of Russians in order to remember the 27 million people who died during the Great Patriotic War every year.
