On August 25, experts from the Omsk Region Regional Competence Center conducted a training "Factory of Production Processes" for Agro-Master, Russia's largest supplier of agricultural machinery from leading global manufacturers. The company's specialists got acquainted with the methods of lean production within the framework of the federal project "Labor Productivity".
At the training site, the participants immersed themselves in the modeling of production processes and analyzed specific work situations. In the center of attention were: high rental costs; low and uneven workload of employees, as well as problems with the lack of a component storage system in the warehouse.
The team learned which modern solutions and practices help businesses work more efficiently and increase productivity. Agro-Master employees saw the impact of losses, bottlenecks and unnecessary operations on the overall result.
For example, it turned out that unnecessary and not always suitable tools significantly slow down the work speed of employees, and the layout of the workshop leads to unnecessary movements of logisticians, loss of time and reduced productivity.
The "Factory of production processes" is one of the tools of practical training. During the business game, the project allows companies to look at their usual work processes from the outside, identify the causes of losses and work out ways to eliminate them in a safe learning environment.
For Agro-Master, this format has become an opportunity to analyze internal processes together with his team and under the guidance of experienced mentors, to find out how to improve the quality and speed of work while maintaining his stability and competitiveness.
According to Maxim Shergin, coach of the Omsk Region RCC, the company's specialists have successfully gone from identifying problems to finding and implementing improvements; they have translated the knowledge gained into practical solutions.
"It was a very productive meeting. The friendly team of Agro-Master actively joined the process. During the business game, they managed to reduce the cost of component stocks from 121 to 89 thousand rubles and complete the production of finished products 5 minutes earlier."
If your team is also interested in finding growth points and building a culture of lean manufacturing within the enterprise, we remind you that participation in the "Factory of Production Processes" is free of charge as part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
