Omsk residents will be taught how to weave Kazakh kamcha at the CIS Wealth of Eurasia exhibition and Fair

From August 23 to 26, 2018, the CIS Wealth of Eurasia exhibition and Fair will be held in the park On Korolev for the first time, where everyone will be able to purchase fresh vegetables and fruits, textiles, dairy and meat products, taste national dishes and take part in traditional entertainment from the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The Wealth of Eurasia fair will be attended by 8 CIS countries: Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and the Russian Federation. Each country will prepare a cultural program with performances by national vocal and dance groups for residents of Omsk and guests of the city.

It should be recalled that the delegation from the North Kazakhstan region was personally invited to the fair by the head of the region, Alexander Burkov, during his official visit to Petropavlovsk. The delegation will be headed by akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov.

According to the organizers, a delegation from the North Kazakhstan region will prepare a variety of interactive activities for visitors to the park. So, every guest of the fair will be able to visit a Kazakh yurt and a literary corner, where participants will present Kazakh books. A convenient place for reading will be organized in the park, as well as reciting poems in Russian and Kazakh, master classes on teaching embroidery of national patterns, and making a Kazakh kamchi whip.

"Our delegation will offer Omsk residents to purchase fresh dairy and meat products from manufacturers, national Kazakh dishes and souvenirs. The program includes a variety of master classes on teaching national Kazakh dances, playing the dombra, folk games and Kazakh wrestling. Also, guests of the fair at the stand of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be able to visit an exhibition of decorative and applied arts, take memorable photos in a photo zone decorated in the national Kazakh style, and watch a concert from Kazakh vocal and dance groups," representatives of the NGO Kazakh National and Cultural Autonomy said.

It should be noted that the Country Days will be held within the framework of the fair, where representatives of the delegations will talk about the traditions and customs of their Republics. Kazakhstan Day will be held on August 24.
