The Fund for the Support and Development of Small Business summed up the results of its work in 2016.
The Omsk Region has a full-fledged business support infrastructure, one of the elements of which is the Omsk Regional Small Business Support and Development Fund. It has an Entrepreneurship Support Center that provides information and consulting support to small and medium-sized businesses on various topical issues of doing business through the Internet resource "No administrative barriers!", the hotline 8 (3812) 40-45-40, 8-800-381-55-55, seminars, conferences, forums, round tables, publication of reference manuals, organization of entrepreneurs' participation in interregional business missions, trade fairs and congress events in order to establish business contacts.
In 2016, the Center provided about 1,800 consultations, more than a hundred information and training events, which were attended by more than 2,000 entrepreneurs.
The largest event was the annual IV November Forum for Entrepreneurs organized as part of the Entrepreneurship Week in November 2016. The forum attracted the attention of more than 570 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the region, and more than 40 training events on various topical topics were held for them. Every entrepreneur who attended the Forum was able to choose a seminar on a topic of interest to them.
"The program of the November Forum is very diverse. As part of the Forum, I chose a seminar on current changes in labor legislation. It was informative and practical. I also managed to talk with my fellow entrepreneurs about our problems in protecting and supporting businesses and reducing administrative barriers. We must constantly communicate and make suggestions to solve them, because it is we, business practitioners, who know these problems from the inside," Natalia Chiguleva, an entrepreneur from Bolsherechensk district, shared her opinion on the IV November Forum.
In September 2016, four Omsk companies, thanks to the support of the Center, were able to participate in the international specialized exhibition Import Substitution 2016. During the three days of the exhibition, Omsk residents held more than four dozen business meetings and negotiations. Also in October, the Center organized and conducted a business mission to Krasnoyarsk and the international exhibition of machinery, equipment, tools, and technologies for the logging, woodworking, and furniture industries Lesdrevmash-2016. During the events, Omsk companies managed to conduct business negotiations, establish new business ties and conclude mutually beneficial contracts.
