A business delegation from Omsk will visit enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan
The business visit is aimed at strengthening trade and economic cooperation.
In the period from 3 to 7 September 2018, Omsk entrepreneurs will take part in a trip to Astana and Karaganda (Republic of Kazakhstan). The visit of the Omsk delegation is organized by the Omsk Region Export Support Center, operating on the basis of the regional Development and Investment Agency.
The purpose of the business mission is to establish cooperation with enterprises of Kazakhstan for the implementation of export supplies from the Omsk region. The delegation included Omsk companies from various fields of activity: production of pipe fittings, electronic components for industrial companies, chemical, light industry, door manufacturing, pharmaceutical activities.
According to the Omsk Region Export Support Center, during the business visit, the Omsk business community will hold a contact and cooperation exchange with representatives of the business community of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Individual business meetings with visits to enterprises in Astana and Karaganda are also planned.
It should be recalled that the Republic of Kazakhstan traditionally occupies a leading position among the Omsk region's foreign economic partners. The share of Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover in the first half of 2018 amounted to 23.3%, while a positive foreign trade balance of exports from the Omsk region is noted. Various commodity items are exported from the Omsk region to Kazakhstan: dairy products, cereals, natural honey, poultry eggs, meat and fish products, flour, plastics and products made from them, wood, charcoal, paper, cardboard, glass and industrial equipment.
"The Center's support for Omsk entrepreneurs in 2017 resulted in the conclusion of 19 export contracts totaling over 24 million rubles. During the business mission to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Omsk Region Export Support Center will provide search and selection of business partners, organization and conduct of business negotiations, transfer in Astana and Karaganda, as well as development of presentation materials for participants of the business mission," said Evgeny Kovtun, General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency.
