The delegation of the Omsk region is working in the Republic of Uzbekistan

A working trip of the Omsk Region delegation to the Republic of Uzbekistan has started today. The team was led by the governor of the region Vitaly Khotsenko. The delegation includes Svetlana Bazhenova, Director General of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency.

During the visit, a meeting was held with khokim of the Fergana region Khairullo Khayitbayevich Bozarov.

The parties noted that relations between Russia and Uzbekistan are on the rise and continue to develop actively. Uzbekistan is one of the most important trading partners for the Omsk region, and trade and exports are showing steady growth.

At the business meeting, the parties discussed a number of promising investment projects. The initiatives were of particular interest: the creation of a meat-producing livestock farm, the development of potato production, followed by the supply of Omsk products to the Uzbek market.

Svetlana Bazhenova, General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency, noted: "We see great potential in developing cooperation with Uzbekistan. Our Agency's specialists will continue to actively work on the development and implementation of these promising projects. We are confident that they will be an important step in strengthening trade and economic ties between the Omsk Region and the Republic of Uzbekistan."
