Time for digital transformation: the IV International IT Forum will be held in the Omsk region in February

The IV International Information Technology Forum will be held in Omsk from 5 to 9 February.  The main trend of the forum this year will be the digital transformation of the regions. After all, the Omsk IT Forum is not only a platform for demonstrating achievements in the IT field, but also a real opportunity for the joint efforts of the IT community, government and business to develop and implement information technologies in professional and everyday life.

The organizers of the Forum are the Government of the Omsk Region, the Regional Agency for Development and Investment, and the IT Cluster of Siberia.

The main IT event in the region will take place at two venues at once – the regional Congress Hall and the Omsk Cycling Center.

The Forum will begin with the ROBOFEST OMSK festival, which will be held from February 5 to 6 at the Omsk Cycling Center, where the best participants in scientific and technical creativity aged 6 to 30 years will present their developments in robotics. Various quests, win-win lotteries, interactive platforms and the Technar 2019 engineering professions fair are also planned.

The business part of the IT forum will be held in the regional Congress Hall from February 7-9 and will include the following thematic sections: "Digital Medicine", "Digital Energy", "Digital Manufacturing", "Smart City", "Information Security", "Internet Marketing" and others. Well-known speakers and guests are invited to the Forum: Maxim Fateev, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, German Klimenko, Director and owner of the LiveInternet Internet company, Alexander Zorin, Director of Regional Policy at Digital Economy. Alexander Burkov, Governor of the Omsk Region, Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, and Oksana Fadina, Mayor of Omsk, will attend a number of events.

Thus, an international event, the conference "IT in Education", will be held within the framework of the IT Forum. The conference brings together teachers of all levels of education, from preschool to higher education, who are interested in introducing innovations into the educational process. The program also includes master classes, the IT Teacher of the Year competition, and meetings of heads of educational organizations.
