The gas distribution company, which supplies natural gas to 25 districts of the Omsk region, summed up the results of participation in the federal project "Labor Productivity" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy". The company began to implement lean manufacturing tools and, together with experts from the Regional Competence Center of the Omsk Region, carried out a large-scale optimization of internal processes.
Increasing labor productivity is one of the key priorities of the region's economic policy. Governor Vitaly Khotsenko has repeatedly stressed that the introduction of lean technologies is a strategic tool for increasing the competitiveness of local enterprises.
"There are already 88 enterprises involved in the project in the Omsk region. These are companies from a wide variety of industries: housing and communal services, food production, agriculture, metallurgy, construction. The daily work of Omskgazstroyexploitation is aimed at the benefit of thousands of Omsk families," said Kirill Samodinsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Omsk Region.
The experts of the RCC and the working group of the enterprise analyzed the process of maintenance of gas equipment. Three main points of loss were identified: people are often absent from home at the time of the master's visit, dispatchers spend a lot of time on manual calls and paper notifications, locksmiths fill out documents manually.
The solutions were implemented comprehensively. Instead of paper notifications and manual calls, digital interaction with subscribers is being built: a personal account is being developed for remote notification and payment of services, and automatic SMS distribution about the master's visit is being set up. The task setting has been completely transferred to 1C — the dispatcher generates an electronic task, the head of the site distributes the load among the locksmiths.
Key results: production per employee increased by 15%, and the service time per address was reduced by almost half an hour. As a result, annual costs will be reduced by more than 650 thousand rubles at only one production site.
"Taking into account the current economic challenges facing the company, the federal Labor Productivity project allows us to find internal resources to solve complex tasks at a lower cost. Thanks to my colleagues who really actively participated in this process. Despite the fact that no one removed production tasks from them," said Dmitry Mishurov, General Director of Omskgazstroyexploitation JSC.
The work on process optimization continues. The company has already established a project office and certified three internal lean production trainers. Their task is to replicate the experience gained to other production sites. The main result for Omsk residents is that the maintenance of gas equipment will become more convenient and faster.
