Svetlana Bazhenova, General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency, began work as part of the regional delegation led by Vitaly Khotsenko at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026). The event is taking place from 3 to 6 June at the Expoforum site under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Already today, on the sidelines of SPIEF 2026, Svetlana Bazhenova met with Nikolai Kozlov, CEO of ExpoForum International, member of the Presidium of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, and Elena Ublieva, Executive Director of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
During the productive dialogue, the Agency's CEO held a presentation of the regional Congress Hall site. She told her colleagues in detail about the current capabilities of the site, the schedule of planned and already approved events, and the vector of development of convention and exhibition activities in the region.
It should be recalled that it was the regional Congress Hall that hosted the presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan at the highest level in 2019 as part of the Interregional Cooperation Forum. History repeats itself — this year the venue has been chosen again for the meeting of the heads of state, which confirms its status and the well-coordinated work of the team.
In addition, the parties discussed the Agency's membership in the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF). This will significantly expand the region's opportunities to share experiences and attract federal partners, as well as the vectors of further cooperation. Noting the powerful industrial and agricultural potential of the Omsk Region, Nikolai Kozlov invited the region to present a collective stand at two key autumn 2026 events organized by ExpoForum, the International Forum—Exhibition "Russian Industrialist" and the International Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Agrorus".
"Today I did not just present the Congress Hall site, today we talked about the systematic development of the exhibition and congress industry in Omsk. We are ready to offer modern platforms and the best conditions for business communication so that the Omsk region becomes a center of attraction for major Russian and international events," shared the results of the General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency.Svetlana Bazhenova.
