In the Omsk region, more funds will be allocated for the creation and development of family dairy farms in 2017

Next year, the region will also increase subsidies for the purchase of a liter of milk.

Governor Viktor Nazarov declared 2017 the Year of Animal Husbandry in the Omsk region. Financing of most projects in this area will be increased. This was announced by Maxim Chekusov, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk Region. "The initiative of the Governor of the Omsk region will allow us to make a qualitative breakthrough in this industry by conducting targeted financing of the necessary programs," the head of the department noted. By the way, the very principle of financing the industry will change in 2017. The region will receive a single subsidy from the federal budget, which will be distributed locally, depending on the needs, by the departments of agriculture of municipal districts.

"Next year, we will allocate more funds for the creation and development of family dairy farms. We will also increase subsidies for the purchase of a liter. We will encourage the development of agricultural production cooperatives that organize the purchase of milk. Even more funds will be allocated to forage crops, and of course, we will accompany enterprises in their activities. Moreover, the tasks have also been set for education and science: without qualified personnel, without young people, it will be difficult to change the situation in rural areas," said Minister Maxim Chekusov.

The results of systematic work in this direction are reflected in the positive dynamics of production indicators. Milk yields per feed cow are expected to increase this year. "At the end of last year, we showed a figure of 4,200 liters. As of October 1 of this year, we have already exceeded last year's figures," said Minister Maxim Chekusov.
