100 investment hackers told the investment commissioners of the municipalities of the Omsk region

On April 9, 2025, the author's training "100 investment hacks for working with investors" was held at the site of the regional Congress Hall, aimed at the systematic development of investment activities in the region and municipalities of the Omsk region. The event is organized by the Regional Agency for Development and Investment with the support of the Government of the Omsk region.

The event was attended by representatives of regional and municipal executive authorities, business support and development structures, as well as investment representatives of municipalities.

The main objectives of the training are to develop the Omsk Region investment team, strengthen interdepartmental cooperation in project support, increase investment activity, and explore channels for attracting investors. The training program has been prepared taking into account the specifics of the investment development of the Omsk region.

"The Governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, set the task of entering the top ten most investment-attractive regions. The implementation of the municipal investment standard is one of the mechanisms to achieve the goal. Today, an expert on attracting and supporting investment projects will speak to the investment authorities, tell them about the tools that will attract investors and make their work most effective. Investment commissioners are for us the key people in municipalities who are responsible for attracting investments. The regional government pays great attention to improving their skills," said Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Omsk Region Government.

The speaker of the training was Alexey Bobov, an expert in attracting and supporting investment projects, Director of Development at the National Institute for Investment Development of the Territory.

"At the event, we looked at the entry points to municipalities through the eyes of an investor: the website, contact information, and the quality of communication. We saw that the quality of interaction with the investor can be further improved. In addition, the investment team of the region formed an attractive image of the future of the Omsk region not only for investors, but also for residents, tourists, and youth. We also reviewed and modeled the process of forming an investment proposal and finding an investor. At the end of the training, the participants openly talked about how to improve the quality of interaction within the system," shared Alexey Bobov.

The training included real-life cases on the organization of work with investors and consisted of two blocks: theoretical and practical. The expert presented national and global investment trends, tools for creating favorable conditions for the implementation of projects. The participants reviewed common mistakes in attracting investors to regions and municipalities, held a team game where they exchanged ideas and jointly created an image of the future of the Omsk region – for residents, tourists, internal businesses, external investors and youth.

"Today, at the training for investment representatives, we examined in detail the tools for working with investors. The event was active. Every participant benefited. We will use all the received mechanisms and investment hacks in our work," said Marina Buzhan, Chairman of the Economic Committee of the Novovarshavsky Municipal District of the Omsk region.

Following the training, the regional investment team will develop a plan to improve the elements of the municipal investment standard, which will be aimed at improving interaction with investors and increasing the attractiveness of the Omsk region for private investment. The implementation of the plan's measures will be an important step towards creating a favorable investment climate in the region.
