Iranian companies highly appreciated the potential of Omsk manufacturers
Last week, the visit of a business delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, organized by the Omsk Region Export Support Center, operating on the basis of JSC «Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency».
«It is not the first time that the Omsk Region Export Support Center has organized an Iranian business visit. Great interest in the Omsk region was revealed during the business missions of Omsk companies to Iran in 2014 and 2015 years. Iranian entrepreneurs are going to the Omsk region to solve problems taking into account the great potential of our agricultural producers and building materials, so the delegation included representatives of three companies involved in agriculture, construction and the implementation of investment projects.», - Ekaterina Efremova, head of the Export Support Center, explained.
The work program included a visit to the Siberian Agrotechnical Fair «Agro-Omsk 2017», individual meetings with Omsk entrepreneurs, visits to enterprises, as well as visits to the fields of Omsk agricultural companies.
At the exhibition «Agro-Omsk 2017» The Iranian business got acquainted with the achievements of agriculture, while they were particularly interested in seeders, sprayers and soil cultivators. Omsk production. During visits to Omsk enterprises from the agricultural sector, agreements were reached on the supply of peas, sunflower seeds, rapeseed, flax, chickpeas and other crops.
Manufacturers of cement-chipboard panels have aroused great interest among foreign businesses, as these products have good earthquake-resistant characteristics. During the individual meetings, the Iranian business expressed its willingness to purchase plywood and wooden chopsticks for the food industry.
The Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency presented projects for the construction of a vegetable storage and logistics distribution center. Mr. Eslamlu, the head of a company interested in implementing investment projects, said: «I am interested in building such a distribution center, where we could consolidate both the products of the suppliers with/x products of Omsk farmers and Iranian trading companies. We suggest that the Omsk side consider the possibility of combining these investment projects into one under a single business concept.».
The Agency for Development and Investment, as well as the Export Support Center, will further accompany the negotiations on export and investment areas.
