The Omsk Region team participates in the "Leaders of Russia" competition to increase the investment attractiveness of the region
The sixth season of the Leaders of Russia management competition, the flagship project of the Presidential Platform "Russia – the Land of Opportunities", is in the active phase. The collective application for participation in the competition was submitted on the initiative of the Governor of the Omsk Region, Vitaly Khotsenko, to consolidate best management practices, strengthen the team's competencies to raise capital and implement promising investment projects in the region.
The head of the region is a finalist in the second season of the Leaders of Russia management competition. The Omsk Region team of participants included Svetlana Bazhenova, Director General of the Regional Agency for Development and Investment, Alexey Marzan and Natalia Zhmyhova, two deputy representatives of the Omsk Region to the Government of the Russian Federation, Elena Bezrukavaya, Head of the Investment Attraction Department of the Omsk Region Representative Office to the Government of the Russian Federation, and Avangard, Deputy Director General for the development of the Special Economic Zone of the Industrial and Production Type." Mikhail Derevyanko. Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Omsk Region Government, is the mentor of the team.
"The Omsk Region team consists of people who work together every day to improve the investment climate and create comfortable and barrier–free conditions for doing business in the region. The main strength of the team lies in the fact that the participants know that unity is strength and that great results can be achieved together," said Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Omsk Region Government.
The team is currently undergoing a remote stage, during which each participant solves tests to assess managerial competencies. The online semi-finals of the project will be held in March-May 2026. In them, videoconference teams will solve various management tasks: strategy, human resources management, operational activities, and more. The face-to-face finals will be held in the summer of 2026. The competencies of the participants will be evaluated by leading Russian experts.
"The Leaders of Russia competition is primarily about sharing experiences, improving competencies, expanding the range of professional contacts and implementing joint initiatives. This is an opportunity to unlock your potential, prove that the Omsk Region is strong with team players who work for the benefit of the region, unlock your potential, enhance expertise and acquire new knowledge," shared Svetlana Bazhenova, General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency.
