The Ministry of Economy asks entrepreneurs to evaluate meetings with the Governor

The survey will last until January 30th.

At the end of 2015, at one of the meetings with the business community, the Governor of the Omsk region, Viktor Nazarov, suggested meeting regularly, for example, once a quarter. The entrepreneurs supported this proposal and in 2016 four meetings were held in the format of an open dialogue.

The meetings are attended by delegations from the largest business associations in the region: the Union of Entrepreneurs, the Association for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses, the Omsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Trade Organizations. Most often, the meetings discuss the really painful problems of entrepreneurs, related, for example, to property, land, tax policy, promotion in retail chains, and receiving government support. The governor immediately gives a personal order to the head of the relevant department present, who, after the meeting, works out a solution to the question posed by the entrepreneur.

At a meeting held on November 25, the Head of the region clarified with entrepreneurs whether this format of work was convenient for them, whether everyone was getting what they wanted to see, whether something needed to be changed.

"Maybe we need to approach some issues more professionally? It turns out that you're giving us some kind of school assignment, and we learned it as students, and we told you about it, and we sort of pause a little bit. And I would like to see more than just a “asked a question, answered and dispersed" format. I would like to see you monitor the implementation and participate in resolving issues," the head of the region asked and instructed the Ministry of Economy to conduct a survey of entrepreneurs in order to identify not only the interest and need of businessmen in the openness of government, but also to adjust the technical and practical organization of these meetings.

You can fill out the questionnaire here.  The Ministry of Economy plans to announce the results of the survey at the Governor's first meeting with the business community in March 2017.
