Young Omsk entrepreneurs will share their experience with Indian colleagues

The dialogue will take place on January 21 via videoconference as part of the 3rd session of the International School of Youth Entrepreneurship.

The agreement to hold joint events between the Center for Social Innovation and the Indian Institute of Social Sciences TATA (TISS) was reached within the framework of the VI International Forum of Social Entrepreneurs and Investors INNOSIB, held in Omsk in November 2016.

The videoconference will be attended by Satyugit Magumdar, Professor and Head of the Center for Social Entrepreneurship at the TATA Institute, Irina Serbina, Chairman of the Center for Social Innovation, Indian entrepreneurs and participants of the Omsk International School of Youth Entrepreneurship. The conference participants will share their experience in developing entrepreneurship, present their projects, and have the opportunity to communicate and find mutual interests.

The International School of Youth Entrepreneurship is a joint project of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Omsk Region and the Center for Social Innovation. The school started its work in November 2016. The project is aimed at young entrepreneurs of Omsk, and aims to develop the managerial competencies of the participants, develop projects for the development of entrepreneurial activity, and get acquainted with international business development experience.

The first session of the school was attended by Satyugit Magumdar (India), Emin Askerov (Kazakhstan), Emiliano Borello (Italy). In December 2016, a competition for grant support for young entrepreneurs was held, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of the Omsk region, with five School participants among the winners.

The TATA Institute is the first university in social sciences under the UGC Act 1956 of the Government of India, and has 80 years of experience in teaching and research. Ranked as the highest university in the country, TATA plays an important role in policy development, advocacy, and action on various aspects of social welfare and rural development.

The Institute has campuses in Mumbai, Tulapura, Guwahati and Hyderabad. The TATA Institute's Center for Social Entrepreneurship offers a unique Master's degree program in social entrepreneurship, as well as social enterprise creation services. The video conference will be held on January 21 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the conference hall of the Omsk Regional Business Incubator.
