Mongolian businessmen are interested in Omsk agricultural machinery

From June 7-9, 2018, the Omsk delegation visited Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar), where it held a number of business negotiations and participated in the international exhibition "Russian-Mongolian Initiative 2018".

The Omsk region was represented by companies from industries whose products are most in demand in Mongolia.:  the production of agricultural machinery, the production and wholesale of agricultural feed, grain crops and the food industry, namely, the production and sale of flour.

90 Russian enterprises exhibited their products on Sukhbaatar Square. The Omsk business delegation included the directors of five Omsk companies: LLC Agroreserv, LLC Trading House Vesely Melnik, LLC Basis, LLC Omskagrotehservice and LLC Agroholding Siberia.

A collective stand prepared by the Export Support Center operating on the basis of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency allowed Mongolian entrepreneurs to get acquainted with the achievements and products of Omsk enterprises.

"Having a mutual interest in cooperation, both Omsk and Mongolian entrepreneurs see significant potential and good prospects for business development and increased trade turnover between the Omsk region and Mongolia. The Regional Export Support Center incurred expenses in terms of paying for the cost of exhibition space and necessary additional equipment, developing a layout and translating presentation material into a foreign language. The Center's specialists also provided the organization of business negotiations with interested small and medium-sized businesses in Mongolia for the participants of the business mission," said Evgeny Kovtun, General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency.

Each of the Omsk companies held a number of productive negotiations. Galina Loginovskikh, director of the Vesely Melnik Trading House, said that this is the company's second visit to Mongolia. If the first trip turned out to be more informative, the second one was productive. A contract was signed with one of the Mongolian companies for the supply of three wagons of flour and one wagon of mixed feed.

Dmitry Golovanov, Director of the Omsk Basis Company, managed to present his company and samples of agricultural machinery to Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Khaltmaagiin Battulga, President of Mongolia.

"Our company has been supplying agricultural machinery to Mongolia for 6 years. All machines are resource-efficient, which allows you to get more crops than conventional machinery can do. We consider participation in the exhibition to be successful. The basis of the exposition of our stand was the cultivator "Stepnyak", which attracted the special attention of visitors to the exhibition. We also signed a dealer agreement with a Mongolian company, and held business meetings with potential partners who were interested in our deep-wells and seeding machines," Dmitry Golovanov said.

Participation in the exhibition allowed entrepreneurs of small and medium-sized businesses in Omsk and the Omsk region to explore Mongolia's target market and negotiate with potential partners. In general, this exhibition has become productive for Omsk companies. The products of the Omsk region were able to attract the interest of representatives of the Mongolian business and proved to be very competitive in price and quality in the local market. In the future, specialists from the Omsk Region Export Support Center will continue to interact with the participants of the business trip and assist in negotiations with representatives of Mongolian companies.
