The development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region was discussed at the International Forum of Special Economic Zones
The International Forum of Special Economic Zones is taking place at the Dubna Special Economic Zone site from 3 to 4 October. Representatives of 53 special and free economic zones from 15 countries, including Iran, Nigeria, Cuba, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, Cambodia, Belarus, and Uzbekistan, are discussing topical issues of the development of territories with preferential treatment.
The Forum's business program includes panel sessions on infrastructure development, legislative regulation of special economic zones, industrial tourism, signing cooperation agreements, familiarization with advanced SEZ technologies, summing up the annual ESG rating, round tables with the participation of government and business representatives.
So, on the first day of the Forum, a panel session "Industrial tourism – a new tool for building communications, attracting staff and finding partners" was held. The event was attended by Viktor Sobolev, Director of the Avangard SEZ, where he shared his experience in developing industrial tourism in the Omsk region.
During the panel session, successful cases of industrial tours for business groups, free tools for promoting project participants at the federal level, and the benefits of industrial tourism for managing companies of technoparks, industrial parks, and SEZs were discussed.
"Today we see the need to develop industrial tourism, showcase enterprises for career guidance, promote products, find partners and investors, reduce population outflow and develop the region as a whole," Viktor Sobolev shared.
