Omsk Instrument-making plant summed up the results of the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity"

Today, the results of the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity" were summed up at the site of the Electrotochpribor production association. Specialists from the Regional Competence Center helped the Omsk company achieve its goals. The process of manufacturing SMS-15EK methane detectors, mining equipment used in the mining industry, was chosen as a pilot flow at the enterprise.

The meeting was attended by Kirill Samodinsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Omsk Region, RCC experts, members of the working group and the company's management team.

"Congratulations to the team on the successful completion of such an important stage of the implementation of the national project as process optimization on the pilot stream. The national project "Labor Productivity" helps to see reserves that might have been missed somewhere or not used to their full potential. Your company's employees were trained at the Process Factory training, and they are currently studying under the Productivity Leaders program. I am sure that you can easily use and replicate the knowledge you gain in the process to other production sites. I invite you to participate in the Mentoring Best Practices competition, which starts on May 13. The best will be awarded with diplomas from the Governor of the Omsk Region and will be able to participate in the federal stage of the competition," Kirill Samodinsky said in his welcoming speech.

At the end of the event, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Omsk region presented letters of thanks to the best employees of the Elektrotochpribor enterprise, who actively participated in the organization of the new workflow.

The Omsk Region RCC noted that thanks to the implementation of optimization measures, it was possible to achieve the following indicators: process time decreased by 30%, the volume of work-in-progress decreased by 12%, and production in the stream increased by 10%.

For six months, the working group successfully completed a set of planned activities together with RCC experts: they carried out diagnostics, analyzed the flow, identified "bottlenecks", built a "goal tree", launched a production analysis at the packaging site, organized workstations using the 5C system, launched route maps to track orders and production stages. In addition, the company's employees were trained in basic lean manufacturing tools. This will not only improve production processes, but also increase the efficiency of all departments of the enterprise.

"I want to thank you for the opportunity to participate in the national project. Participation helped to take a fresh look at our established processes, "shake them up" and embark on a path of improvement. We have formed a team, and our employees have started to behave more actively, offering some initiatives of their own. Now our company has great ambitions and will continue to develop in terms of implementing lean manufacturing tools and increasing productivity in accordance with the three-year plan at other production sites," said Anton Borodin, Technical Director of JSC PO Elektrotochpribor.

Recall that the Omsk Region joined the national project "Labor Productivity", initiated at the federal level by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2020. Today, 70 companies in the region have become participants in the national project. The operator of the national project is the Regional Competence Center, operating on the basis of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency.
