Omsk "Process Factory" teaches the principles of lean manufacturing

Today, experts from the Regional Competence Center of the Omsk Region conducted a training course "Process Factory" for Omsk RTS company as part of the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity". The company's specialists have learned how to apply lean manufacturing methods to optimize and improve production processes.

Note that the "Process Factory" is based on the "action learning" approach. The essence of the method is that learning occurs by solving non-standard tasks through the analysis of the practical experience of one's own and colleagues.

So, the participants of the training distributed the "positions" and set the required level of indicators, which included the quality of the products produced and approved by the "customer", the cost of production and the manufacturing time of the elements. Over the course of three rounds (work shifts), the "manufacturers" sought to fulfill their goal of assembling 10 products in 20 minutes, improving their results using lean manufacturing tools.

"Given the wide range of applications of lean manufacturing methods, the Factory of Production Processes and the Factory of Office Processes attract Omsk companies from various fields. In a dynamic playful way, the training allows them to learn how to interact as a team in order to achieve their goals," said Maxim Shulgat, head of the Omsk Region RCC.

The students highly appreciated the knowledge gained and noted the accessibility of the presentation of complex educational material.
