28 agricultural machines were demonstrated in the fields of SIBNIISHOZ as part of AgroOmsk

More than 150 representatives of farms of Omsk and Novosibirsk regions took part in the educational and methodical program of Farmer's Day.

According to the participants of AgroOmsk, the most valuable thing in holding industry forums is the exchange of experience and the study of new technologies and techniques that can facilitate and make peasant labor more profitable. On the eve of the Omsk exhibition, Farmer's Day was held with a major industry meeting, a demonstration of the latest achievements and business negotiations with suppliers and manufacturers of agricultural machinery, breeders, agrochemists. New varieties of OmGAU seeds and agricultural crops of SIBNIISHOZ breeding were presented to the heads of farms. In the fields of the Scientific Institute of Agriculture, they evaluated how experimental samples of peas, spring wheat, soybeans, chickpeas, lentils and lupine grow.

More than 200 representatives of various domestic and foreign companies, including 25 Omsk enterprises engaged in agricultural engineering, presented their products to farmers. The capabilities of 28 pieces of equipment were demonstrated, of which more than half were designed for field work.

The Omsk Experimental plant showed the work of the Stepnyak cultivator, which is able to effectively process 140-150 hectares of soil, and an improved new–generation grain planter Sower - 3600, designed not only for sowing cereals, legumes, but also small-seeded crops and grasses. Domestic companies presented equipment designed for harvesting fields, sowing, foraging and tillage.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Nikolay Drofa told farmers about the state of the Omsk agricultural industry, including how the forage is being harvested. "48% of hay and 34% of haylage have already been harvested in the farms of the region. It is necessary to pay attention to summer crops, which will make it possible to get the right amount of high-quality feed in the fall," the deputy minister noted. Nikolai Bustard also focused the attention of farmers on conducting an agrochemical soil survey and treating crops with plant protection products. This year, about 2 million 100 thousand hectares have been treated with herbicides in the Omsk region, almost two thirds of the fields, and 350 thousand hectares with fungicides.

Today, on July 20, the business program of the exhibition includes Vegetable Grower's Day. The forum participants will be presented with the best vegetable farms and enterprises for processing and storing vegetables. And on July 21, events for field breeders will be organized.
