Exactly one week remains before the opening of the IV International IT Forum in the Omsk region, which will be held from 5 to 9 February 2019. The organizers of the Forum are the Government of the Omsk Region, the Regional Agency for Development and Investment and the IT Cluster of Siberia. The forum will bring together representatives of government authorities, managers and specialists in the field of information technology, experts and entrepreneurs, as well as public sector organizations. The final stage of preparation for the main IT event in the region, the program and the forum venues were discussed at a press conference at the regional House of Journalists on January 29.

According to the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Omsk regionDenis Kushner, the introduction of information technology is firmly embedded in the lives of enterprises in the region. Many Omsk companies are engaged in digital development, databases, and software themselves. Today, 1,729 such companies have been registered, which is 13 percent more than at the beginning of last year. The products of these companies are sold not only in the Omsk region, but are also in demand in foreign markets. The developments that appear in Omsk generate demand from customers and prove their worth around the world.

"Therefore, one of the main tasks of the IT forum is to show the developments of our companies, to show federal experts how much the region is trending, how much we can apply digital technologies that are at the federal level. The forum's platform, among other things, aims to ensure that there are more similar projects in Omsk and they can bring real benefits to our economy," he said.Denis Kushner. According to Alexander Timofeechev, President of NP IT Cluster of Siberia, the IV International IT Forum is, first of all, a platform for demonstrating the possibilities of information technology in all spheres of life. Therefore, the forum includes a large number of sections. The IT forum will be held at two venues – the regional Congress Hall and the Omsk Cycling Center. From February 5 to 6, the ROBOFEST OMSK festival will begin at the Omsk Cycling Center, where the best participants in scientific and technical creativity between the ages of 6 and 30 will present their developments in robotics.
