The volume of exports of the Omsk region increased by one and a half times in 9 months of 2017

Starting in 2018, it is planned to introduce a Regional export Standard in Russia.

Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal DistrictYesterday, Sergey Menyailo held a conference call with the heads of the Siberian Federal District regions on the implementation of export potential and the introduction of a regional export standard in the regions of Siberia. It was noted at the meeting that Siberians are doing a lot of work to promote their products for export.

In the Omsk region, the volume of exports from our region increased 1.5 times in 9 months of 2017. At the same time, the growth rate of exports to non-CIS countries increased by 68%, which is twice as high as the growth rate of supplies to CIS countries (+33%). Experts note that the Omsk region has quite effective tools for promoting local products abroad. First of all, it is a regional export center supported by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and the Russian Export Center (REC). Since the beginning of 2017, 76 export commodity contracts and 3 contracts for the supply of Omsk technologies abroad have been signed with the assistance of the Omsk Export Center. The total amount of contracts amounted to more than 10 million US dollars.

The General Director of the Russian Export Center Joint Stock Company (REC) took part in the discussion of the prospects for increasing export supplies Peter Fradkov. A REC "point of presence" has been established in the Omsk region, which operates in a partner format on the basis of the regional export support center. In the Tomsk Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, such divisions operate on the basis of chambers of commerce and industry. The format of the REC's own separate division was created in Novosibirsk.

The Omsk Region Export Support Center implements effective projects, one of which is a specialized Omsk goods trading house in the duty-free zone in Manchuria (China), which opened in July 2017. Omsk Trading House, which employs 22 small and medium-sized companies in the Irtysh region, organizes not only retail, but also wholesale supplies to the Chinese market. An electronic online store is currently being developed on its basis. The organization of such trading platforms contributes to the promotion of Russian goods on the markets of foreign countries.

To further develop export activities, starting in 2018, the country plans to introduce a Regional Export Standard (RES) in order to improve the institutional export environment, increase the number of exporters and the volume of export products. Currently, this standard is being tested in 22 "pilot" Russian regions, including the Novosibirsk Region.
