The Avangard SEZ, together with the AKIT of the Russian Federation, began implementing the principles of sustainable development
Avangard SEZ PPT JSC, together with the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia, have started implementing the principles of sustainable development (ESG) in the activities of the SEZ.
Currently, the Resident Policy of Avangard SEZ has been developed, ESG data is being generated, and measures are being planned to conduct an ESG audit of the infrastructure site.
"When making decisions about investing in a particular company, an increasing number of investors take into account its impact on the environment and society. We support our colleagues in their efforts to meet the demands of the times. Sustainable development practices will help balance the activities of SEZ residents: reduce the negative impact on the environment, increase social well-being and investment attractiveness," said the Director General of the Agency for Development and Investment.Evgeny Kovtun.
For reference: the principles of responsible attitude to the environment (eng., E— environment); high social responsibility (eng., S— social) and high—quality corporate governance (eng., G- governance) have become widespread under the name of ESG principles. Most corporations and large companies in the world take them into account when developing their strategic plans. The implementation of these principles in SEZ activities is one of the tools to increase its investment attractiveness and improve the investment climate in the region.
