Omsk entrepreneurs were told about the customs regulation of exports

Yesterday, a seminar on "Customs regulation of exports" was held in the regional Congress Hall as part of the seminar program of the Export School of the Russian Export Center, which is held for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the region free of charge. The seminar was organized by the Omsk Region Export Support Center, operating on the basis of the regional Development and Investment Agency.

The seminar was attended by representatives of 10 companies representing various fields of activity:  agriculture, pharmaceuticals, production of musical equipment and advertising structures.

The seminar was held using interactive teaching methods. The entrepreneurs learned the basics of customs legislation, what list of documents is needed to confirm the customs value, what rules exist for interpreting HS codes (Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity) and determining the country of origin of goods.

"During the seminar, Omsk businessmen reviewed the basics of customs business: choosing a customs procedure, determining the HS code and the country of origin of goods; calculating the customs value of exported products; collecting permits for subsequent declaration of goods; paying customs duties and duties; interacting with customs control authorities to process exported goods and protecting the rights of the exporter from unlawful decisions or the actions of the customs department staff," the Omsk Region Export Support Center said.

The seminar participants successfully completed the final testing and received certificates from the students of the course "Customs Regulation of Exports" at the REC Export School.
