Omsk INNOSIB-2018 will identify current trends in the development of socially oriented business

The International Forum of Social Entrepreneurs and Investors INNOSIB-2018 will be held in Omsk from October 17 to 19. The business part is scheduled for October 18: various discussion platforms, strategic and panel sessions will alternate from 09.30 to 17.30 in the Congress Hall (ul. 70 Let Oktyabrya, 25/2).

The event is organized by the Omsk regional public organization “Center for Social Sphere Innovations". The Forum is supported by the Government of the Omsk Region and the Ministry of Economy of the Omsk Region. Representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, federal ministries and departments, the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, regional Civic chambers, regional authorities and municipalities, large businesses, Russian and foreign foundations, large non-profit organizations, the international and Russian expert community, as well as social entrepreneurs and social investors are expected to participate..

Despite the fact that this event will be held in the Irtysh region for the eighth time, every year the Forum becomes a starting point. It is on it that trends are formulated and trends in the development of socially oriented NGOs and social enterprises are determined, formats and ways of providing them with state assistance are discussed. Omsk is traditionally considered the capital of social entrepreneurship in Russia: Many local initiatives and initiatives are quickly adopted by both the federal center and other federal subjects throughout the country.

The head of the Omsk region, Alexander Burkov, set a specific task for the initiators of INNOSIB: to make the Forum not just international, which, of course, is very significant in itself, but also to raise it to the level of a Government event in the coming years. The agenda of the current INNOSIB is even more intense and interesting than usual.

For the first time, it is planned to organize the work of the Omsk Forum sites on the basis of partner organizations in 5 foreign countries and 10 subjects of the Russian Federation based on stream technologies. The forum will be broadcast live on the Internet. At the same time, experts from 18 foreign countries and representatives of at least 30 subjects of the Russian Federation are expected to be able to come directly to the Omsk region. At least 1,000 guests are expected at INNOSIB in 2018!

The theme of this year's Forum is also broadly formulated: priority national projects as an action plan for social entrepreneurs and SO-called NGOs. The key objectives of the event are to identify opportunities for social entrepreneurs and socially oriented NGOs to implement priority national projects for the socio-economic development of Russia, as well as to promote and develop social entrepreneurship in the Russian Federation.

On the very first day of work, October 17, representative foreign experts, along with federal Russian specialists, will conduct a whole host of master classes. The business part of the Forum starts the next day, on October 18 in the Congress Hall, and on the third day, foreign and metropolitan guests, accompanied by representatives of the media, will be able to visit the exemplary Omsk social enterprises to get acquainted with the best local practices in the development of socially oriented business. Partner events of the Forum participants and internship platforms for social entrepreneurs are also scheduled for October 19. A total of 43 events are planned to be organized and held during the Forum.
