Omsk region is preparing for the Interregional Forum «VTTA-Omsk-2017»
10 Omsk enterprises will present high technologies and their products for the Arctic at their sites.
Interregional Forum «High technologies and equipment for the Arctic»(VTTA-Omsk-2017) It will be held in Omsk in November. 2017 The Ministry of Industry of the Omsk region is preparing for this event, forming the list of participants, and working out a business program. Already defined 10 production sites where meetings with Forum participants will be held in order to demonstrate local products for the development of the Northern and Arctic territories.
The Ministry of Industry reported that the strategic issues of the development of the Russian Arctic zone and ensuring its security will be discussed at the Forum's planar meeting. A meeting of the working group on the development of cooperation between Siberian organizations in the field of production and supply of products for Arctic needs will be held under the chairmanship of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District.
As part of the business program of the Forum «VTTA-Omsk-2017» International scientific and technical conferences will be held «Radio engineering, electronics and communications», Thematic events will be organized «round tables» and discussion platforms, contacts have been established with representatives of related enterprises, corporations and northern customers. In addition, it is planned to hold competitions of developments of student design bureaus of the main universities of Russia and children's and youth technical creativity.: «My development for the Arctic».
According to the regional Ministry of Industry, today about 40 Omsk enterprises produce more than 160 names of industrial, scientific and technical products that are in demand in the extractive industries, energy and transport sectors of the Far North and the Arctic zone of Russia. To increase the competitiveness of Omsk-made products, a consolidated catalog of industrial, scientific and technical products for the Arctic zone and the Far North has been prepared.
«The structure of the Consolidated Catalog prepared by Omsk residents will be used as a basis for the formation of a federal illustrated catalog for the needs of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. Our catalog includes more than 300 names of high-tech industrial and scientific-technical products 50 companies from 9 regions of the Siberian Federal District, of which 32 enterprises of the Omsk region», - Igor Lukyanov, Deputy Minister of Industry, Transport and Innovative Technologies of the Omsk Region, said.
