Omsk region will participate in the discussion of the development of the digital economy in Russia

The Omsk region, among the active regions focused on the introduction of the digital economy and advanced technologies, will participate in the discussion organized by the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO.

Today, on June 29, Dmitry Ushakov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region, Anna Negoduiko, Deputy Minister of Economy, and Maxim Sushkov, Head of the Main Information Technology Department, will begin work at a site dedicated to the digital economy and digital transformation in various industries in the regions of Russia.

The participants of the round table will be representatives of relevant executive authorities at the federal and regional levels, as well as the business and expert community. Representatives of regional executive authorities include the Republic of Tatarstan, the Kaliningrad Region, the Perm Territory and the city of Moscow.

During the meeting, it is expected to discuss the initiatives of the President and the Government of Russia in the field of digital economy development in regions and cities and the existing opportunities for regional governments to implement the proposed initiatives, the experience of Russia's leading regions in building a digital economy and developing smart cities, the contribution of business to the development of the regional digital economy, as well as the importance of the educational component in the implementation of digital transformation initiatives in regions and cities.

"This platform will allow us to evaluate the approaches of the regions to the formation of a concept for the development of the digital economy, receive information from reputable industry experts and bring new things to the concept we are forming," the Omsk Ministry of Economy notes.
