Omsk region expands horizons: new opportunities for international cooperation
24 February was the first in 2026 a meeting of the Export Council under the Governor of the Omsk region. The participants summed up the results of foreign economic activity for 2025 We have approved strategic priorities for the current period.
Head of the region Vitaliy Khotsenko He noted that one of the key areas will be the systematic work on opening representative offices of the Omsk region abroad. A representative of the region is already working in Uzbekistan. 2026 This year, the task was set to continue organizing representative offices of the region in the countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. These countries will become key partners of the region in attracting investors and developing export potential.
So, during the meeting, a solemn ceremony of exchanging documents on cooperation with the partner organization was held.ёRami from Armenia: the agreement was concluded between JSC «Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency», Omsk branch «Union of Armenians of Russia» and the Armenian company «Secret».
The main purpose of the agreement — the development of long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, the creation of favorable conditions for attracting investments into the economy of the Omsk region, as well as the formation of a positive investment image of the region in the Republic of Armenia.
«The concluded agreement – This is a practical step in the implementation of the strategy for integration into the economic space of the SCO countries. Now, in the Republic of Armenia, we will actively promote information about the unique opportunities of the Omsk region.: our scientific, industrial and agro-industrial complex, rich cultural and educational potential, and most importantly — favorable investment climate. The Agency's specialists will provide consultations to representatives on working with investors and supporting investment projects according to the principle «one window», participate in the organization of conferences, seminars, exhibitions, forums, working visits of Omsk region delegations and other events held in the Republic. Systematic work will open up new prospects for Omsk enterprises, strengthen the region's international relations and create additional opportunities for economic growth in the Omsk region.», – shared by the Director General of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency Svetlana Bazhenova.
