Omsk region entered the TOP 10 in the National rating of the investment climate in the regions of Russia

Today, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) presented the results of the annual National rating of the investment climate in the regions of Russia. This year, the Omsk region, thanks to the efforts of the team led by Governor Vitaly Khotsenko, improved its position and entered the TOP 10 regions with the best conditions for business and investors.

It should be noted that the ASI National Rating is formed annually jointly with the country's leading business associations, experts and entrepreneurs. This year, the rating assessed the efforts of regional authorities to create favorable business conditions based on 88 indicators. More than half a million entrepreneurs were covered by the Investment Rating surveys. The assessment methodology includes the speed and ease of administrative procedures, the availability of infrastructure and resources, the effectiveness of institutions for business, as well as measures to support small businesses.

In the Omsk region, systematic and large-scale work is being carried out to attract investors and create favorable business conditions: comprehensive measures have been taken to reduce bureaucratic procedures, accelerate connection to resource supply networks and communications, shorten the time for issuing construction permits and registering land plots. The region also has a range of regional and federal business support measures.

The Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency works with investors on a one–stop-shop basis, providing administrative support for each investment project, from the idea to the commissioning.

Commenting on the rating results, Svetlana Bazhenova, Director General of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency, emphasized:

"The entry of the Omsk region into the TOP 10 of the National Rating of the investment Climate is not just an increase in positions, but a natural result of the systematic and systematic work of the entire regional team under the leadership of the governor. We see that the measures being taken are really working, as evidenced by the rating figures and business feedback. The Agency will continue to work systematically with investors: our task is to consolidate the achieved positions and move on, creating the most comfortable conditions for the implementation of any business initiatives in the Omsk region."
