During the largest energy sector event in the Caspian region, Omsk companies presented their products and developments designed specifically for the oil and gas and petrochemical industries.
The international Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition was held in the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan from May 29 to June 01, 2018. The event brought together leading experts and leaders of the oil industry to demonstrate advanced technologies in the field of oil and gas production and refining, transportation and logistics, and services. The Omsk region was represented by the heads and specialists of six small and medium-sized enterprises in the oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industries.: Vneshtorgresurs LLC, Kross-Automatika LLC, Ring Billet Plant LLC, Polikon JSC, ETP-Trading LLC and KSK-Service LLC.
A stand prepared by the Export Support Center, operating on the basis of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency, allowed to get acquainted with the achievements of Omsk companies.
- The Omsk Region Export Support Center incurred expenses in terms of paying for the cost of exhibition space and necessary additional equipment, developing a layout and translating presentation material. The Center's specialists also provided the organization of business negotiations with interested small and medium-sized enterprises of the Republic of Azerbaijan for participating companies," said Evgeny Kovtun, General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency.
Each of the Omsk companies held a number of productive negotiations. For example, with John Sahlins, a specialist in hydropower at Rapid Solutions, who spoke about the specifics of the Azerbaijani oil and gas industry and companies that are ready to cooperate.
Representatives of the state oil and gas company SOCAR, one of the most promising oil companies in the world, showed particular interest in the products of our region.
"This is our company's second trip to the Republic of Azerbaijan," said Alexander Dudarev, director of the Omsk-based Cross-Automation company. - Last year, we visited the country as part of a business mission, held a number of meetings with engineering and construction organizations from the oil industry, and this year we decided to participate in a major specialized exhibition in order to consolidate last year's contacts and gain new ones.
In general, this exhibition has become productive for Omsk companies. The products presented by the enterprises of the region were able to interest representatives of the Azerbaijani business and proved to be very competitive in price and quality in the local market.
It is also worth noting the increased media attention to the stand of the Omsk region.
