The project was closed today at the Kvant Software company. With the support of experts from the Regional Competence Center of the Omsk Region (hereinafter RCC), the company's working group optimized office processes.
The event was attended by Kirill Samodinsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Omsk Region, RCC experts and the company's management team.
"Congratulations to everyone on the completion of the national Labor Productivity project on the territory of the enterprise. To participate in the project, you need to have a certain amount of courage. There is still a long way to go, when the knowledge that you have acquired can be replicated further and applied to other areas of your company. I would like to remind you that there are many opportunities to use system support measures. You may be interested in participating in the Export Growth Accelerator program, as well as the opportunity to participate in the Productivity Leaders program and the Process Factory trainings. I hope that the tools and knowledge that you have acquired while working with the Regional Competence Center will help you in your future work," Kirill Samodinsky said.
The project started in October last year. The management chose the stage "Optimization of the technical and commercial proposal development process" as a pilot flow. For the first three months, the diagnostic stage lasted - RCC experts, together with a working group, examined all stages of production, identified "bottlenecks". For the next three months, the team implemented a number of practical activities.
Thus, the company's employees were trained in methods of increasing labor productivity, introduced new management solutions and technologies, optimized office processes, created effective workplaces and a project office. Also, during the implementation of the project, the company has trained internal lean manufacturing instructors who have successfully passed certification and are able to independently replicate the results of the project to other business streams in the future.
The result of the introduction of lean manufacturing practices at the model flow was a 25% increase in output, a 50% reduction in work-in-progress, and a 35% reduction in process time.
"Six months ago, we started implementing the national Labor Productivity project. During this time, we have built a team, and the work has become more coordinated. We have identified the "leaders of change" - the company's specialists who are actively involved in the changes. The Working Group has acquired the skills, knowledge, technologies and tools that allow us to accelerate the pace of our development. Together with RCC, we have achieved a reduction in the volume of unfinished processes and an increase in production. We are not resting on our laurels and plan to use our knowledge in other areas and scale the business," said Dmitry Safonov, Development Director at Kvant Software.
The RCC of the Omsk region noted that the closure of the active phase of the national project does not mean its completion. In the next two and a half years, the company's employees, who were trained in lean competencies, will have to spread the acquired practical skills to other production sites.
The national project "Labor Productivity" is designed to create conditions for an annual increase in labor productivity in the country by 5%. A set of measures has been developed to help businesses, including financial incentives and expert advice on the work of enterprises. National projects initiated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, started in 2019.
