Omsk industrialists presented sightseeing routes

Today, a practical session was held in the regional Congress Hall, where the expert commission assessed the quality of the industrial excursion routes of the region's enterprises. The competent jury highly appreciated the content, adaptability and interactivity of the excursions of such enterprises as Poliom, NPO MIR, Omsk Rubber (GC Titan), Omsk Plant of Innovative Technologies and MilcOm.

It should be noted that in the period from May 21 to May 22, 2024, Omsk will host two large-scale events at once - the summing up of the All-Russian educational program for the development of industrial tourism "Open Industry" and the forum on inter-industry cooperation "Industrial Clusters". The organizers are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Government of the Omsk Region. As part of the business event, selected enterprises will present their routes to representatives of more than 60 regions of the Russian Federation.

The practical session was led by Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region and head of the regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region.

"This practical session is part of a series of events aimed at developing industrial tourism in the Omsk region. Industrial tourism is a mechanism that opens up the region to potential investors, helps young people decide on their future profession, and increases confidence in the products produced by our industrial enterprises. Today, as part of the practical session, we saw how the students completed their homework and what projects they are ready to present. And already during today's practical session, we have selected the best projects and made recommendations for improvement. The companies that have been selected today will present their enterprises as part of the final of the Open Industry educational program, which will be held on May 21-22. I really hope that we will once again surprise not only the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, but the whole country with the fact that Omsk is not a closed region. Omsk is open for investments, for friendship and cooperation with all regions of the Russian Federation," said Andrey Shpilenko.

During the session, an expert commission represented by regional ministers, business support structures, certified tour guides and tour operators reviewed the existing industrial routes. Representatives of Omsk enterprises told us what makes their excursions unique, what interactive experiences await visitors, and what practical benefits industrial tourism brings to the development of their companies.

So, the listeners learned that by visiting industrial tours of enterprises in the Omsk region, you can see and find out where hearts are assembled for aircraft engines; where you can leave with a test tube full of polypropylene; where you can enjoy music created from the factory's working sounds; where to figure out how milk from a cow gets to the store and how it turns into yogurt or sour cream; where to ride a tractor or take a picture in a huge wheel of agricultural machinery.

In the near future, the regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region will finalize the routes for speaking at the final event.
