The Electric Transport company, which participates in the federal Labor Productivity project, has successfully completed the Office Process Factory training. The event is organized by the Regional Competence Center of the Omsk Region and is aimed at introducing lean technologies in office business processes.
Office Process Factory — this is an interactive training course that allows employees of enterprises to get acquainted with lean production tools in practice. Participants do not just listen to lectures, but simulate real work situations, identify losses and immediately test ways to eliminate them.
The training consists of several consecutive stages, each of which reinforces the acquired knowledge and skills. At the first stage, participants get acquainted with the philosophy of lean manufacturing, key concepts, and training goals. The coach formulates a business task to be solved during the simulation. At the second stage, the team performs a typical office operation – processing a client's request according to the existing scheme at the enterprise. The execution time, number of errors, redundant actions, and other performance indicators are recorded. Then, under the guidance of a trainer, participants analyze and identify losses, develop improvements, map the flow, implement changes, and compare key indicators before and after.
"During today's training day, we saw losses in our daily work – we realized that multitasking, lengthy approvals and lack of standards were stealing time and resources. We realized the value of teamwork and effective communication between related departments. We have learned how to use specific lean manufacturing tools to optimize document management, the process of approving contracts and processing customer requests," she sharedNatalia Vasilyeva, Deputy Head of the Personnel Department of the Omsk Municipal enterprise "Electric Transport".
Vadim Shulgat, a certified trainer at the Omsk Region Regional Competence Center, commented on the value of the training sessions.: "It often happens that a company actively implements lean practices in its main production, but at the same time office processes remain overlooked. This creates an imbalance and slows down the overall growth of labor productivity. The Office Process Factory is a powerful tool that allows you to plunge into the philosophy of lean manufacturing in one day and literally feel with your body how eliminating losses radically changes efficiency. I am confident that the knowledge gained by the employees of Electric Transport will become a catalyst for positive changes not only in their work, but also in the company as a whole."
