Valery Seleznev, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Chairman of the Energy Committee, discussed the problems of utilization of CHPP ash with representatives of the Omsk industrial cluster for the use and processing of ash and slag materials.
This industrial cluster was established in April 2017 year, the next step - registration in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, after which the participants of the association can count on attracting federal funds for the implementation of innovative projects for the recycling of resources of the thermal energy complex of the region.
The leadership of the Omsk region supports the creation of a cluster, taking into account the successful implementation of projects for the production of aerated concrete blocks of WARMITE, Portland cement, and ash bricks using ash and slag materials. All these projects were implemented by the group. «Osnova Holding».Investments in the production of building materials amounted to 2 billion rubles.
Valery Seleznev, who initiated the meeting, was interested in the experience of enterprises in the Omsk region in processing CHPP ash. The MP stated that he was ready to provide support in the implementation of projects in this area. In some foreign countries, ash and slag waste is processed almost completely, in Russia the volume of processing is 10%.
According to the participants of the working meeting, it is necessary to generalize foreign experience in order to make greater use of ash and slag materials in the national economy as a raw material resource. The recycling of CHP waste will solve the problem of ash dumps, which occupy significant areas near the city limits.
