SibzavodAgro has started implementing lean manufacturing tools with the expert support of the Regional Competence Center (hereinafter RCC) as part of the national Labor Productivity project.
Andrey Posazhennikov, Minister of Industry and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region, Denis Kushner, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the region, Svetlana Bazhenova, Director of the Omsk Region Industry Development Fund, and RCC experts visited the enterprise.
"A lot depends on the leadership. I am sure that the experts from the Regional Competence Center will help you in implementing measures to increase productivity and achieve the results you expect. Use other tools of the national project – this is training within the framework of the "Process Factory", under the "Productivity Leaders" program, – he addressed the management and employees of the enterpriseDenis Kushner.
SibzavodAgro has two production sites. The company produces resource-efficient agricultural machinery and spare parts. The structure has a design bureau, a department of warranty and post-warranty service. With the support of RCC experts, the company plans to introduce improvements to the manufacturing process of the Irtysh seed complex.
"I am very glad that industrial enterprises, machine-building enterprises, including agricultural machinery, have begun to pay attention. Today there are programs, there is a real financial support. Since last year, we started cooperating with the SME Bank on High-tech. The fact is that we are moving away from the market price, reducing production costs. For this purpose, additional production sites have been put into operation, we are technically re-equipping, we are dealing with issues of process planning, this is exactly the task that we will solve together with the Regional Competence Center. The goal is to optimize processes in order to offer high–quality products at a competitive price on the foreign market," said Evgeny Naumov, Director of Production at SibzavodAgro.
In the near future, a working group made up of RCC employees and experts will diagnose the processes in order to find reserves for improvements, then work will begin on the implementation of lean manufacturing tools.
The implementation of the national project at the enterprise is designed for 3 years. In 6 months, a sample flow will be created, and internal trainers will be trained to implement lean manufacturing tools. In the next 2.5 years, the company will independently continue to replicate lean technologies to other processes.
The national Labor Productivity project, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is designed to create conditions for annual productivity growth in Russian enterprises. To achieve these goals, the Government has developed a set of state business support measures, which includes financial incentives, expert assistance in improving production processes and training of company employees.
