Omsk manufacturer increased the volume of rapeseed oil production by almost 9 tons per shift with the support of the national project

Agrotrade is engaged in the cultivation of cereals, legumes and oilseeds, the production of refined and unrefined vegetable oils, oil cake, meal. The company's products are supplied to livestock farms, food processing and industrial enterprises in the regions of the Urals, Siberia and the Far East. Experts from the Regional Competence Center helped the company implement lean manufacturing tools to increase productivity in the manufacture of rapeseed oil. This product accounts for about 60% of the total revenue.

"Thank you for taking care of us, for teaching us. After the training, our production volumes increased. The results for the year were completely different, we almost doubled in profit and, of course, in tax payments, which is important for the region and the country as a whole today," said the director of AgrotradeOleg Anofrikov.

With the help of experts, the company achieved a 14% increase in vegetable oil production from 63.0 to 71.8 tons per shift due to the elimination of screw line downtime, the introduction of an additional booster press and additional production tanks for pre—drying, and the recruitment of a loader driver. The volume of work-in-progress was also reduced by 3 times due to the introduction of an additional booster press into production, as well as the introduction of an additional pre-drying operation of raw materials into the technological process. The company has trained a lean manufacturing instructor.

In the future, the lean manufacturing working group, created in the company from management and employees, together with a certified internal trainer, will continue to replicate the experience gained to other production processes.
