The Omsk Export Support Center and the Regional Integrated Center combine

The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has decided to merge the functions of Export Support Centers and Regional Integrated Centers into one structure.

In the regions of Russia, Export Support Centers will provide comprehensive assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of foreign economic activity, and the Omsk Region is no exception.

In 2016, the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency operated two centers – the Export Support Center and the Regional Integrated Center.

The Export Support Center assisted export-oriented enterprises in finding sales markets by conducting marketing research, business missions, organizing the participation of Omsk companies in foreign exhibitions, and also provided legal assistance in the examination of export contracts.

The Regional Integrated Center – Omsk Region, in addition to assisting in the search for potential business and scientific and technological partners through the European EnterpriseEuropeNetwork network, which unites about 400 centers in more than 50 countries (China, Japan, USA, Mexico, Chile, EU countries), provided information and consulting services to Omsk enterprises.

According to the results of the Centers' work in 2016, Omsk small and medium-sized enterprises signed 48 export contracts worth about 8 million 800 thousand US dollars. Omsk companies have signed contracts and established cooperation, including as a result of business visits organized by the Centers – these are two business missions to Kazakhstan, business trips to Georgia, Armenia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Germany and Bulgaria. The enterprises exported pasta, frozen semi-finished products, confectionery, canned goods, snacks, musical equipment, children's toys, electrical equipment and much more.

The Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency reports that all support measures for Omsk export–oriented enterprises will be retained in the combined structure, and this association is a systematic effort to create a "one window" for business.
