Omsk meat processing enterprise has increased production per shift thanks to the national project

The results of the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity" were summed up at the Kompur plant. The introduction of lean production tools allowed the company to increase production by 4.3 tons per shift, from 25.7 to 30 tons.

The Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Omsk Region took part in the summing up meeting.Kirill Samodinsky, experts from the Regional Competence Center, managers and employees of the company.

"I am sure that the time of learning and introducing lean tools into production processes was useful and productive. The company has not only improved something and made new things, but also received an additional impetus in order to continue to develop and not stop there," he notedKirill Samodinsky.

The experts of the Regional Competence Center, together with the company's employees, chose the process of primary meat processing as a pilot flow. During the implementation of the project, the working group identified and identified the losses, as well as developed a plan to eliminate them. The company's employees have been trained in basic and additional lean manufacturing tools.

"It was very interesting for us to work in a team with the Regional Competence Center of the Omsk region, because an outside view is important at any time. We tried it, and we saw that it was effective, energizing, and mobilizing the team. Experience, tips, and just the opinion of experts proved useful. After six months of cooperation, our company is going on an independent voyage. Now we understand the techniques, expand and modify the production processes," said Vasily Sukhostav, CEO of MPZ Kompur.

As part of the implementation of the national project, a goal tree was built, the main business drivers were found, movements in the flow were analyzed, improvements in site planning were proposed, a production analysis was launched at the veterinary inspection site, operations were rebalanced and inventory optimization was carried out between redevelopments.

As a result, the company managed to achieve the goal of the pilot flow - to increase production per shift, optimize the use of resources. Next, Compura's specialists will independently replicate lean tools to other production sites.
