In the Omsk region, expert support for the national Labor Productivity project, which is being implemented by decision of President Vladimir Putin, helped NPP Spetstech achieve a 10 percent increase in output at the reference site.
Today, the scientific and production enterprise "Spetstech" held a final meeting on the six months of implementation of the national project. The meeting participants visited the workshop and got acquainted with the results of the pilot flow.
Denis Kushner, the first Deputy Minister of Economy of the Omsk Region, visited the company's territory. "During the implementation of the national project, 70 enterprises of the Omsk region have become its participants. Monitoring conducted by the Regional Competence Center showed that, on average, production increased by almost 40% across enterprises and process time and production losses decreased. Thus, enterprises reduce their costs and receive additional profits, which they can use for development purposes," he noted.Denis Kushner.
NPP Spetstech is engaged in the production of metal products for the oil and gas, energy and other industries. The company has its own accredited and certified laboratory. Experts from the Regional Competence Center and the project team from among the company's employees implemented lean manufacturing tools in the induction duct shop for large-diameter pipelines.
Viktor Vakula, director of the plant, said that the site for improvement was not chosen by chance: investments in production are ahead, the creation of workshops that will produce a new line of import-substituting products, as well as the creation of new jobs.
"We started studying the Federal Labor Productivity Program earlier than we decided to implement it. Since March last year, we have been discussing with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Industry about our participation in the project. Since June, we have fully started implementing lean manufacturing tools. Thanks to this, we have reduced the loss of time for preparatory work, reduced the loss of time for the selection of tooling by more than 37%, the production culture has increased significantly, and we have worked out the logistics of moving products. In general, we have seen the advantages and changes in our company thanks to the national project. At first, we trained specialists in engineering and technical positions, then we selected a site and fully trained the working staff. People started treating me differently. We have set up an information center, and before taking up duties, an employee can clearly see what they will be milked during a shift, a month, and what plans they have. Thanks to the national project and the increase in production, we have increased the salaries of employees from 10 to 20 percent," said Viktor Vakula, director of the NPP Spetstech plant.
In six months, the working group successfully completed a set of planned activities: they carried out diagnostics, analyzed the flow, identified "bottlenecks", built a "goal tree", the management and the working group were trained in the basics of lean manufacturing, carried out standardized work, and were repeatedly trained at the Process Factory training and production site.
"These measures allowed the company to optimize the movement of components and finished products, and introduce auxiliary tools to simplify the work of employees. As a result, the time spent searching for the necessary tools was reduced by 37%, and the additional space increased by 90%," said the project manager of the Regional Competence Center.Vitaly Komissarov.
The implementation of the national project at the enterprise is designed for 3 years. In 6 months, a sample flow will be created, and internal trainers will be trained to implement lean manufacturing tools. In the next 2.5 years, the company will independently continue to replicate lean technologies in other areas of production. Experts will provide consulting support within the framework of the national project.
In order to become a participant in the project, it is necessary to seek advice from the Omsk Region RCC by phone: +7(3812)40-80-17 or submit an application on the productivity website.RF.
