Omsk region was awarded a federal award at the finals of the Open Industry accelerator

The regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region received the award "The best project to promote the human and technological potential of Russian manufacturers." Also, the new tourist and industrial route "Siberian Trends" received the special award "The best project for the integration of industrial enterprises and regional brands into the tourist routes of the region."

The presentation of the Omsk Region team was highly appreciated by the expert jury and participants of the All-Russian educational program for the development of industrial tourism "Open Industry", which took place from May 27 to May 29 in Tobolsk. The final event brought together participants from more than 20 regions of Russia.

The event was organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the Governor of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, noted that industrial tourism is becoming important today in the development of the economy and tourism potential of the regions. It has turned into a whole movement that helps attract investment and distribute the products of Russian enterprises.

The result of the training at the accelerator e "Open Industry" was the development of a one-day industrial route "Siberian Trends". Omsk residents in the format of a special report with "direct inclusions" showed all the points of the route that the tourist will visit. Svetlana Bakulina, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Omsk Region, acted as the presenter of the special report. In the presentation, she explained that the route includes a sightseeing tour of the historical center with stories about Omsk entrepreneurship, as well as visits to modern local enterprises in various industries: food, textile and petrochemical industries.

In addition, representatives of the regional team showed and told the participants about the creative project of the Omsk polypropylene plant "Poliom" - "Factory of sounds". Ekaterina Zadvornova, a representative of the company, said that the music album combined the noise of compressors, the clink of laboratory utensils with the sounds of musical instruments and academic vocals. In alliance with the Omsk Chamber Orchestra, the Poliom plant went beyond its territory to the SymphOpark site, where it demonstrated the voice of industrial production to residents of Omsk and guests of the city.

"We strive to make Poliom perceived as a transparent, technological and modern enterprise. Participation in the Open Industry project and our inclusion in the new intersectoral tourist route Siberian Trends is, on the one hand, a special quality mark from the expert community, and on the other hand, an additional opportunity to build a trusting dialogue with the residents of our region," said Pavel Evdokimov, General Director of the Poliom plant.

It should be noted that the presentation of the Omsk region aroused great interest among colleagues from other regions. Thus, representatives of the Perm Region, who share the status of the Youth Capital with Omsk this year, proposed the idea that students from Perm should become the first industrial tourists of the Siberian Trends route.

"It's great that our idea was supported by entrepreneurs whose businesses have long been loved by Omsk residents and residents of other regions. They are the ones who set the trends in Siberia. This synergy gives an additional impetus to development. The Siberian Trends industrial route is a commercially successful product, which is not often implemented in this direction, it is interesting for tourists, useful for business participants, and beneficial to the tourism industry," said Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region.

Recall that the Omsk Region became a participant in the Open Industry educational program in 2024. More than 50 advanced industrial enterprises of the region are involved in the development of industrial tourism, 30 representatives of the regional team received certificates of advanced training under the program of additional professional education "Organization of industrial tourism". This year, 22 more people have mastered a new profession that will help the region develop domestic and foreign industrial tourism.
