Executive authorities and municipalities are studying financial modeling in PPP projects
The educational training program "Financial modeling in PPP projects: practical aspects" has been completed today at the regional Congress Hall.
The program is organized by the National PPP Center (VEB Group.Russian Federation) jointly with the Regional Development and Investment Agency on the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Omsk Region and with the support of the Regional Government.
For three days, representatives of regional and municipal authorities of the Omsk region, led by experts from the Finist investment bureau, built a financial model for the concession project.
As part of the business program, master classes were held on legal, tax and financial issues of project structuring. The experts shared with the participants their theoretical knowledge, practical skills, tools and real-world experience in modeling PPP projects.
"Public-private partnership is an important mechanism for attracting private investment into the economy of the Omsk region. It is very important to understand how to properly structure such projects, properly use data generation tools to prepare a financial model, cost modeling, calculate the revenue side of the project, and much more. We thank the National PPP Center for the training, we have learned a lot. This will help us identify risks in a timely manner when the region participates in PPP projects, as well as correctly assess their effectiveness," said Galina Goncharova, First Deputy General Director of the Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency.
