The third reactor for the production of polypropylene has been launched at the Poliom plant (joint venture of GC Titan, SIBUR, Gazprom Neft), the company's press service informs.
The new gas-phase reactor was put into production in early December. It is expected that its commissioning will increase the volume of production of marketable products. It is not reported how much the production of copolymers will be increased.
The technical solution that allowed the reactor to be integrated into the polymerization complex was developed by Polyoma specialists together with the licensor of the technology, LyondellBasell. The equipment for the project was manufactured by Nuovo Pignone.
"Currently, Poliom specialists are stabilizing the operation of the equipment. They have already tested the production of several grades of polypropylene, including three special ones. The first batches of polypropylene were shipped to processors," the press service said.
The capacity of Poliom is 210 thousand tons of polypropylene per year. The company is integrated into the technological chain of plants of the GC "Titan". Propylene used in the production of polypropylene is produced at the Omsk Rubber PPF separation unit and then sent to the production of Polyom.
