Omsk region implements a unique project in rural areas under the program for the development of single-industry towns

The federal manager inspected how the problems of employment and landscaping are being solved in the village of Krasny Yar in the Lyubinsky district.

The village of Krasny Yar in the Lyubinsky district, where the "main employer", the Lyubinsky Dairy and cannery, is located, is the only settlement in the Omsk region included in the federal program for the development of single-industry towns. According to Oksana Fadina, Minister of Economy of the Omsk Region, the Omsk region is one of the few in the country that has decided to use the program's tools to solve the problem of employment and landscaping in rural areas. Hence the agricultural theme of Krasny Yar's investment projects related to the construction of a logistics center for storing vegetables and an enterprise for deep egg processing.

Olga Popova, a consultant manager at the Monotown Development Fund, visited the Omsk region the day before to inspect how the tasks of developing business activity and improving the quality of life in the settlement, which proved that it could be called a monotown, were being solved.

The federal specialist visited the production of the famous Lubinsk condensed milk, assessed the allocated investment sites, met with local entrepreneurs, and told them about measures to support single-industry towns. The Fund can provide assistance in providing loans on favorable terms, training project teams, and allocating funds for the construction of infrastructure necessary for the implementation of investment projects with the creation of additional jobs.

"We are ready to provide advisory and financial assistance, and we are ready to meet entrepreneurs halfway, as we are interested in business and industry developing in single–industry towns," Olga Popova said.

After walking around the village, a specialist from the Monotown Development Fund assessed how the "Five Steps of Landscaping" program is being implemented. The administration of Krasny Yar, at its own expense, installed flower pots to decorate the central part of the village, purchased equipment for equipping a children's playground, and organized the installation of artistic lighting for the local chapel and memorial.
