More than 90 large companies of the Omsk region have already become participants in the federal project "Labor Productivity", which is part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy". The average increase in output at the enterprises was 40%, the process time and the volume of work-in-progress decreased by a third. On behalf of Governor Vitaly Khotsenko, a regional program has been created for small businesses to help companies with a turnover of up to 400 million rubles prepare for joining the federal project.
The geography of the participants covers not only Omsk, but also the municipal districts of the region. Most of the companies represent industry and the agro—industrial complex, and representatives of the road industry, construction, tourism, and housing and communal services are also among the participants.
"Increasing labor productivity is one of the key tasks outlined by the President. The project was launched in the Omsk region in 2020, and today we see high business engagement. Lean manufacturing tools were originally developed for industrial enterprises, but practice shows that companies in various fields receive the effect of their implementation, from the agricultural industry to the sanatorium industry. Not only urban enterprises have successful results, but also participants from municipal districts of the Omsk region," said Anna Negoduiko, Minister of Economic Development of the Omsk Region.
How the project works
Participation in the federal project is free of charge for enterprises. For six months, experts from the Federal or Regional Competence Center (FCC and RCC) have been working directly with the team, helping to optimize business processes, set up logistics, and implement lean manufacturing tools. At each enterprise, a sample production stream is selected and a team of employees is formed, which in the future will be able to independently replicate improvements to other sites.
"There are universal tools developed at the federal level. Their principles include bringing order to workplaces using the 5C system, reducing unnecessary movements and downtime, eliminating overproduction, and standardizing the most efficient operations. Each company is unique, so the choice and adaptation of methods are always decided individually together with the team," explained Maxim Shulgat, Director of the Omsk Region RCC.
Participation is free for companies. You can apply on the official productivity website.RF.
