The Mom Entrepreneur project will be held in the Omsk region in early September.

In the Omsk region, the "Mama Entrepreneur" starts on September 9th. The participants will go through all the stages: from the conception and development of a hypothesis to drawing up a roadmap for the development and packaging of a ready-made business idea.  The training will take place on the basis of the My Business center.

"The project includes a five-day intensive course on the basics of entrepreneurship, during which the participants prepare business plans for their entrepreneurial ideas. The final day is the defense of business plans. The best project will receive a grant of one hundred thousand rubles. As last year, the program is divided into two stages – regional and federal," said the Minister of Economic Development of the Omsk region.Anna Negoduiko.

Last year, more than 120 applications were submitted for the competition in our region, and the expert commission selected 30 of them. The winner was Yulia Petrova with a project of author's excursions. She made it to the federal stage, where she competed for the main prize – one million rubles, and also became one of the three winners of the special tourist track of the program.:

"I've opened up new horizons. I began to think in financial terms, and there was a certain responsibility. This has made my attitude towards my own business more serious and thorough. Participation in the federal stage also provided an amazing experience, because not only the winners of this year, but also those of previous years were invited to it. There were many moms with a serious business scale, because they have been developing projects for several years. This is a different depth of planning, and other financial indicators. It's useful, it's inspiring," Julia shared.

As in the previous year, experienced experts will help and advise the participants at each stage of the project. Marianna Zgorzhelskaya, jewelry stylist, founder of her own brand, will act as one of the mentors. She is well aware of the "Mom Entrepreneur" project, she started her career in business as a participant in it.

"I often remember how in 2019 I participated in this project for the first time. I already had two children, and I started my own business – making jewelry. Maternity leave is a time when you can focus on your child and understand what you are really interested in. Women's business is often based on emotions, and "Mom Entrepreneur" is an amazing school. We still communicate with the girls from the previous streams," notesMarianne.

Women with underage children or those on maternity leave, including guardians, carers, or foster mothers, can participate in the project. They can be individuals, self-employed and individual entrepreneurs who have been operating for less than a year.

"We believe that women's business needs special support. Even while waiting for the baby, the life and psychology of the mother herself changes. Priorities are changing. We can say that a person has been pulled out of his usual society to some extent. Sometimes you need to realize yourself, sometimes you need to help your family," explainsMarina Stepkina, Chairman of the Omsk Businesswomen's Club of the Union of Women of Russia, mentor on social entrepreneurship, member of the jury of the Mom Entrepreneur project.
