Industrial tourism in the Omsk region is gaining momentum: the number of specialists in the organization of industrial routes has increased in the region

On the site of the regional Congress Hall, diplomas on professional retraining were awarded to specialists in the organization of industrial routes and two industrial routes were presented to representatives of business and the tourism industry.

An expanded meeting on the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region was held today under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of the regional Government Andrey Shpilenko. The event participants included Svetlana Bakulina, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Omsk region, representatives of the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Processing Industry, universities, business support structures, tour operators, tour guides, as well as managers and employees of industrial enterprises in the region.

Recall that the Omsk Region has been a participant in the Open Industry All-Russian Educational Program for the development of industrial tourism since 2024. To date, more than 50 enterprises in the region are involved in the development of industrial tourism. The region has been highlighted at the federal level with the awards "The Best project to promote the human and technological potential of Russian manufacturers" and the special nomination "The Best project to integrate industrial enterprises and regional Brands into the region's Tourist Routes".

So, within the framework of the working meeting, 22 participants of the regional team for the development of industrial tourism were awarded diplomas on professional retraining of the All-Russian educational program "Open Industry". There are currently 52 certified industrial tourism organizers in the Omsk Region. Such specialists know all the subtleties of organizing industrial routes at enterprises, are competent to develop new projects and excursions, as well as regional and international travel products.

The main topic on the agenda of the meeting was the presentation of the industrial and tourist routes "Industry of Siberia - the greatness of Russia" and "Siberian Trends", developed by the regional industrial tourism development team during the project activities. Both projects demonstrate the industrial and tourism potential of the region, the innovation and technological efficiency of enterprises, the proactive position of Omsk business and the desire to promote local brands and services. Information about routes and participants is posted on the websites of the Omsk Region Tourist Information Center and the Regional Ministry of Culture in the "Industrial Tourism" section.

"Today we held a productive working meeting on the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region. We decided that in the near future we will create a Competence Center for industrial tourism in the Omsk region, we will determine what knowledge, techniques and best practices we are ready to share. We presented our routes in order to further promote them. It is very important that tour operators, individual guides and guides, as well as business representatives whose companies are the points of the route, actively supported our ideas, are ready to work, meet tourists and business delegations at their enterprises, talk with interest about production, make them fall in love with their brands and the Omsk region," said the Deputy Prime Minister. It should be noted that in the near future, the regional industrial tourism development team will organize information tours for representatives of the tourism industry. Such trips will help travel agents to get to know the routes in detail, provide better advice to clients and promote travel products.
