Today, members of the regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region visited the company "VELTA", which manufactures industrial electrical equipment. The meeting was led by Deputy Chairman of the Omsk Region Government Andrey Shpilenko.
It should be noted that the company has extensive experience in the design, development, manufacture and installation of medium and high voltage switchgear. The company's clients are such large mastodons of business as Lukoil, Gazprom, Rosseti, Rosatom, Norilsk Nickel. The company implements projects in the cities of Russia and the CIS countries.
The company's specialists conducted a safety briefing for industrial tourists, where they also explained the rules of conduct at work, provided workwear, personal protective equipment, and radio guides. As part of the tour, participants were guided through various production halls to familiarize themselves with the work processes.
The regional team for the development of industrial tourism in the Omsk region highly appreciated the safety of the route, the selected display facilities and the tour route, the interesting presentation of the guide's material, the presence of a young and interested team, souvenir products, as well as the order in production and the ability to effectively use lean manufacturing tools in their workflow. The tourists noted that the company pays special attention to career guidance. The company "VELTA" actively accepts students from Omsk universities for practical training, attracts them to industrial professions and "nurtures" young personnel.
"Today we visited the industrial enterprise "VELTA". We saw with our own eyes clean workshops, all technological processes. We really made sure that the products produced at this enterprise are of high quality and reliable. We looked at the methodology of the industrial tour: starting from the introductory briefing on safety measures to the points where we were shown the workshops, where they told us important information. There is only one conclusion - the company is actively developing. I hope that industrial tourism and the excursion program available at the enterprise will allow not only potential customers to come to the plant, but also young people to see that working professions are prestigious and highly paid," said Andrey Shpilenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk region.
