The Siberian Agrotechnical Exhibition-Fair AgroOmsk-2018 has opened its doors to specialists of the agro-industrial complex
During the first day, a number of seminars were held, farmers from the municipal districts of the steppe and northern zone visited the experimental fields of the Omsk ANC, where modern agricultural machinery was demonstrated.
Today, on July 16, the 16th Siberian Agrotechnical Exhibition-Fair AgroOmsk -2018 began its work for specialists in the field of agriculture. A seminar on field husbandry was held for the chief agronomists of agricultural departments, managers, as well as chief agronomists of agricultural organizations from the regions of the steppe northern zone.
The seminar was opened by Nikolai Bustard, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk region, who congratulated all those present on the start of the exhibition dedicated to the Year of Fertility, announced by the head of the region, Alexander Burkov. The seminar was also attended by representatives of the Agrochemical Center, Omsk Agricultural Research Center and Omsk Agricultural University.
During the seminar, farmers visited the experimental fields of the Omsk Agricultural Research Center, where they were presented with varieties of soft spring wheat – Katyusha and Element – 22, which are resistant to stem rust, as well as varieties of barley, peas, soybeans and winter wheat.
A demonstration of modern agricultural machinery from the Pegasus company (the representative in Omsk is Sibirskaya Baza), Rostselmash, Agrocomplete, Sib–Agro and other manufacturers took place in the experimental fields. I would especially like to highlight Sortex LLC, which has developed the Focus Mini photo separator, capable of sorting a variety of products, including grain.
In total, about 30 units of agricultural machinery of domestic and imported production, focused on increasing the fertility of agricultural land, are presented at the demonstration. All samples of agricultural machinery can be viewed at the fair itself, as well as ask questions to representatives of companies.
Tomorrow, on the second day of the exhibition, a seminar on field farming for farmers from the municipal districts of the northern forest-steppe and southern forest-steppe zones, the Food Industry Day section, round tables on the prospects of using gas-engine fuel in agriculture with the participation of representatives of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry, as well as representatives of the agro-industrial complex operating tractor and special equipment will be held.
