The II International Forum "Model of International Organizations" will be held in Omsk

On October 30, the grand opening of the II International Forum "Model of International Organizations" will take place in the regional Congress Hall.

The forum was organized by the Association for Modeling International Organizations in cooperation with the Omsk State University named after F. M. Dostoevsky, with the support of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Government of the Omsk Region, the Omsk City Administration, the Ministry of Economy of the Omsk Region, the Russian International Affairs Council, the Omsk Branch of the Russian Society Znanie, the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, and the U.S. Consulate General in Yekaterinburg.

The forum will be attended by 11th grade students, students and teachers, government officials, heads of public organizations, experts in international relations, business and media experts. The geography of the speakers is also extensive. This year, students from 21 countries will participate in the Forum: Ethiopia, Ghana, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, the USA, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Iran, Brazil, Armenia and other countries near and far abroad, as well as from more than 25 regions of Russia.

Alexander Leonidovich Burkov, Governor of the Omsk Region, Oksana Nikolaevna Fadina, Mayor of Omsk, Russian diplomats Sergei Alexandrovich Ordzhonikidze and Alexander Vasilyevich Minzhurenko, US Consul General Paul M. Carter, Consul General of the People's Republic of China, Ms. Geng Lipin, Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Omsk, Evgeny Vasilyevich Kosintsev, Rector of OmSU, also confirmed their participation in the opening ceremony. The purpose of the forum is to draw the attention of young people to solving urgent problems of humanity. Over the course of four days, delegates from different countries will model the activities of 8 international organizations: OPEC, WHO, the International Court of Justice, OSCE, etc. Their task is to find optimal solutions to the pressing problems of international development, to try to comprehend and answer the most pressing global issues of our time. The outcome of the forum will be the adoption of resolutions and other final documents.
